*For a better world

It’s time to make this happen!

To be honest, this all began as I felt anxious about the future. How do we build a world that will provide the abundant resources for future generations? How do I ensure my son will enjoy a world that is healthy, safe and secure? Does no one else feel the deep anxiety of climate change when they see the City of Calgary’s devastating flood or the Fort MacMurray wildfire or the coldest February in 40 years? How do we move into a state where we are all active and engaged in the fight for our future? This recent article in the Guardian hits it home: Remember the Days when we weren’t Freaked out by Freak Weather?

This is my call to action. Let’s ASK* for a Better World.

I am delighted to launch ASK* and realize an idea that has been several years in the making. I am grateful for my colleagues at Manasc Isaac Architects who have helped me learn, grow and make mistakes over the last 19 years. I have been fortunate to develop skills in collaboration and engaging people through a workshop process. And I have learned how to be passionate about lean culture, especially when it can achieve far more than a client ever imagined for their budget and schedule. I am especially fortunate to have built experience with high performance buildings including net zero energy and zero carbon emission architecture for cold climates. My work over the last 20 years has taken me to places far and wide from the Yukon to Romania and Pakistan. We need to work in the place and context that best provides results that benefits all.

Ask* is a collaborative practice that builds the right team to provide the best value for our clients needs. We want to deliver precisely what you wish for in your project. We work with clients who are aligned in our vision for a regenerative world. We will show how we can aspire to and deliver net zero energy, carbon neutral projects that will help leave the world in a better state. We have no time to lose.

I want to ask you questions. I want to make a better world.
